Our infant program is built on the Montessori principle that even the youngest child is a capable, curious learner. Caregivers at Brainy Bees follow each baby’s lead, supporting milestones in movement, communication, and social-emotional development without rushing or forcing transitions.
In this stage of rapid development, toddlers thrive in a carefully designed space that encourages independence, coordination, and language acquisition. Through self-initiated exploration and meaningful engagement with Montessori materials, they begin to explore practical life skills and social interaction — buzzing with curiosity and emerging confidence.
At this age, children are natural doers. Our Busy Bees classroom offers hands-on materials for pouring, sorting, and building — all activities that strengthen fine motor skills and concentration. Toddlers also begin developing early language through stories, songs, and guided conversation with their guides.
Our preschool environment supports the child’s natural desire to learn, offering freedom within structure and materials that spark imagination, critical thinking, and self-discipline. Through rich, hands-on experiences in the five core Montessori areas — Practical Life, Sensorial, Language, Math, and Culture — children develop independence, confidence, and a lifelong curiosity about the world around them.

Brainy Bees Montessori offers nurturing Before and After School Care for kindergarten students, including safe pickup and drop-off from schools across Red Deer. Our Montessori-inspired program supports independence, confidence, and meaningful social connections in a calm, respectful environment.
We also provide care on PD days and school vacation days, remaining open year-round except statutory holidays and weekends. In summer, our engaging Montessori Summer Camp for 5- and 6-year-olds encourages creativity, exploration, and hands-on learning.
